The aesthetics of the Aspire Riil X doesn’t disappoint. The design looks super-futuristic, more like a piece of trendy jewellery than a vape device.

The compact body of the device resembles a luggage shape design with rounded corners, housed in a zinc alloy metallic shell and supplied with a lanyard chain to really show off this marvel.

The Riil X definitely stands out from the crowd, and carves a new design concept. Vapers carry their devices with them all day, every day, so why can’t they look more beautiful, stylish and elegant than before? The Riil X is the first release in the new Riil series so stay tuned for Aspire’s new, exciting and innovative future releases.

The Riil X is supplied in a well-designed metallic coated presentation box, to keep the device safe during transportation. The box and user manual look high-quality, and more like a comic book than a vape kit box. Line drawing illustrations and diagrams, are a fresh and welcomed approach, making the content inside more engaging.

About the Aspire Riil X

The ergonomic body houses a generous built-in 700mAh battery, with Type-C 2A charging to fully charge the device in only 20 minutes, providing the average vaper all-day vaping on a single charge. The charging port is located at the base of the device. An LED light indicator can be found in the Aspire logo along the bottom front of the body, this will inform you of your batteries status. (Green 60-100%, Blue 30-60%, Red 0-30%)

There are no buttons to press, inhale on the mouthpiece and the device will provide a smart and constant wattage output. The Riil X is a versatile kit, catering for both MTL (mouth to lung) and RDTL (restricted direct to lung) vapers, it really is a ‘one device for all’. You can easily adjust the airflow settings by sliding your finger up or down the airflow control button, to suit your preferred style of vaping.

The Riil X uses Aspire Flexus (AF) coils to provide excellent flavour, perfect ‘throat hit’ and delicious creamy vapour clouds. Coils are available in 0.6ohm (15-18W), and 1.0 (12-15W) ohm options to suit your style of vaping.

The Riil X uses pods, the pods are easy to fill with e-liquid thanks to the easy side fill design. Lift the rubber bung and insert the nozzle of your e-liquid and squeeze in up to 2ml’s of your favourite e-liquid, press down on the bung to seal. The pods are made from food grade PCTG durable material and feature a transparent window, so you can keep an eye on your e-liquid levels and avoid dry burns.

The Riil X uses Aspire’s ASP chipset for built in protections including, low voltage protection and overheat protection to name a few.

Who is the Aspire Riil X for?

Aspire have seen the rise in popularity of disposable vapes like the Elf Bar 600, and have designed a pod system vape kit that is the perfect next step to a reliable kit that can be recharged and refilled with e-liquid.

The Riil X is a beginner friendly device that is ideal for new and experienced vapers. It’s easy to use and operate, clean and fast to refill with e-liquid, and the push-fit coils make for simple and rapid coil replacing.

With no buttons to press, simply inhale on the mouthpiece for instantly satisfying vapour thanks to the auto-activation on inhale. The device uses Riil X replacement pods that are compatible with Aspire Flexus (AF) mesh push-fit coils available in 0.6 and 1.0 ohm options.

If you are in the market for an elegant, compact and innovative vape kit that’s really easy to use and operate, the Riil X is a great choice!

Do you use nic salt, high PG or 50/50 e-liquids? If so, the Riil X is a must try device. Pair it with your high fashion outfit for a night out, or remove the silver lanyard chain and put it in your pocket or bag, for discreet vaping while on the go.

Verdict

Personally, I love it! Looks out of this world and vapes like a beast. A small but mighty contender for one of the best pod vape kits that have ever been released (In my humble opinion!).

The Riil X feels incredibly sturdy and slightly heavier than other pod systems on the market, but that doesn’t bother me, it still only weighs 86g net weight. It feels like a high-quality and durable kit with an excellent build quality. The product that won’t smash into 100 pieces if dropped on the floor. (Although, I wouldn’t recommend trying!)

I really enjoyed how easy the Riil X was to use, with no screens or settings. When you insert a coil the device will read the resistance of the coil selected and automatically adjust the power output, so you never have to accidentally fire at the wrong wattage. Downside is that there aren’t multiple power settings to play with.

When comparing it to other vape pod kits, cheaper devices are available with larger capacity batteries. But, the Rill X gets away with it because the 700mAh battery can be fully charged in 20 minutes.

The pods feature a duck billed mouthpiece that fits comfortable on the lips. The pod is firmly held to the device with strong magnets to ensure the pod is secured to the device even when on the move. One downside is that you have to tilt the pod sideways to see the e-liquid levels contained within. (I’m being picky now!)

While reviewing the Riil X, I used TABlites Nic Salts Blue Razz Lemonade and was very impressed with flavour and vapour production, for a lightweight and compact device the Riil X really is up there on performance. Although the device can switch between MTL and RDTL, we do not recommend using high VG e-liquids with this device. We recommend nic salt, 50/50 and high PG e-liquids for best results.

The metallic body does act as a fingerprint magnet, a little wipe every now and again will keep your device looking fresh and shiny. Also, personally, I don’t use the neck chain, I see its appeal but as I'm pushing on 40 years old, not sure I can personally pull it off!

Overall I love the Riil X, there, I said it!

My new go-to all-day vape device. There are a few cons outlined above but overall there are so many positives with this kit. If you are looking for a brand new pod system vape kit, I would seriously recommend taking a look at this incredible kit.
