How long does an Elf Bar last?
All Elf Bars except the rechargeable Elfa range are designed to be used once and then thrown away. Each Bar is designed to last for around 600 puffs, which is a little more than a pack of 20 cigarettes.

The battery and coil are also designed to last right up to the very end of e-liquid without the need to recharge, so you don’t miss out on any of your vape juice.

Do Elf Bars contain nicotine?

Most contain nicotine, however, you can get nicotine-free Elf Bars as well.

The Elf Bar 600 (the most popular range of Elf Bars), contains 2% nicotine strength nic salt e-liquid. 2%, or 20mg/ml, is the highest strength nicotine e-liquid allowed on the UK market today and offers a strong hit to counter nicotine cravings. 

Nicotine salt e-liquids are a different composition of nicotine compared to freebase nicotine. They both come from the tobacco plant, but nicotine salts are processed to create the purest form of nicotine possible. This means that smaller quantities are needed to provide the same kind of nicotine rush as with freebase nicotine (which is the kind of nicotine you get in tobacco cigarettes and other types of e-liquid). Nicotine salts are also more easily absorbed by the body than freebase nicotine, resulting in a smoother throat hit.

However, there are some ranges of Elf Bar that have lower levels of nicotine or 0% nicotine.

Can I refill an Elf Bar?
In most cases, no, you can’t refill an Elf Bar. They are designed to be single-use, which means that once the e-liquid is finished, you need to throw the device away and open a new one!

The exception to this is the Elfa range by Elf Bar, which features replaceable cartridges to allow you to refill your vape in a range of different flavours, without having to buy an entirely new vape device.

Are Elf Bars safe?

Are Elf Bars legal to buy in the UK?

Most Elf Bars are legal in the UK, but there are some that are not allowed. Due to vaping regulations in the UK, vape tanks in disposable vapes need to be less than 2ml. This amounts to around 600 puffs of e-liquid.

As a rule of thumb, any disposable vape that is advertised to hold more than 600 puffs of e-liquid is unlikely to be legal to sell in the UK, which means that you can’t be assured of its safety.
