We’ve put together a list of what we think are vaping essentials for when you’re travelling at home or abroad, as well as a little advice regarding travelling with your e-cig.

Things to bear in mind when travelling with your e-cigarette:
- Please be aware that electronic cigarette hardware is not allowed to be in your checked luggage when you fly.
- Because of a ban on storing lithium-ion batteries in the hold of planes your batteries have to be with you in your carry-on luggage. Luckily you can still keep your e-liquids and tanks in the hold, so you don’t have to be carrying endless bottles of juice.
- If you do carry your E-Liquid in your carry-on luggage, ensure that it is stored in a clear plastic bag, which you will have to show during security checks. As with other liquids, you will not be able to carry more than 100mls.
- A good tip for your tanks is to keep them empty for the flight. Changes in air pressure can sometimes lead to leaking, so it’s a good idea to minimise this by not keeping your tanks full.
These are just guidelines, please check with your airline of choice before you travel to make sure you’re following the rules.

Please bear in mind where you’re travelling, too. Most places will be fine with tourists using their e-cigarettes even if they are not available to buy in that country.
Countries e-cigarettes are banned include but are not limited to: the United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong, Argentina, Brazil and Singapore.
Most of Europe maintain a ban on smoking indoors, and in some places this stretches to vaping as well. Always check with your accommodation whether or not it is ok to vape.
